UX - Beyond user needs

To us, User Experience (UX) is a key factor in the development of a product. In short, UX is the knowledge and the procedures that help to create products people love. It includes a great variety of disciplines such as Visual Design, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, etc.

In HI Iberia we believe in a UX cycle where processes stay lean and focused on the experience (Lean UX). We offer a variety of services which guarantee the quality and acceptance of the products, as our cases studies show.

Define what the user needs are (through user testing or data analysis) and how is working a product. We could help you conducting independent researches representing the user perspective.

  • Cognitive walkthrough, user interviews, field studies, etc.
  • Quantitative research: interaction logging, data crawling, questionnaires, etc.

Turn the users insights into a successful product concept (having in mind the technical requirements!). To conceive the Information Architecture aligned with the user mental model. To represent the interaction involved in a service as a step-by-step process

  • Card sorting, personas, focus groups, user scenarios, expert reviews, etc.
  • Service design: Blueprints, Customer journeys, etc.

Create visual designs, functional prototypes... which show off the product capabilities.

  • Multi-platform design and development.
  • Various design standards (e.g. Android DS, OS Human Interface Guidelines, Web Accessibility, etc.)
  • Wireframes using Balasamiq, OmniGraffle, etc.
  • Interactive prototypes using Axure
  • Rapid prototyping techniques using HTML5/Javascript/CSS.

Testing of products to get insights about the customer experience and reporting them.

  • A/B testing, heuristic evaluation, cognitive walkthrough, standards inspection, etc.
  • Different metrics (e.g. SUS -System Usability Scale-) and standards (e.g. ISO 9241-11 taking into account effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction).
  • Reporting and presenting the results in an attractive and visual compelling way.
  • Brand consistency: compliance of new products with the company look-and-feel, consistency checklist, etc.
